AB Los colores siempre han estado presentes en la historia y la primera cualidad que tienen es la de ser portadores de experiencias estéticas. Pero también son transmisores de ideas, mentalidades o creencias, y mucho más porque también se convierten en delimitadores sociales, diferenciadores de género o creadores de estructuras cosmogónicas. En el presente trabajo se ha querido ahondar en la fuerte dimensión histórica y simbólica que presenta el color en la antigüedad, y en especial el amarillo ya que es el gran ausente en los estudios monográficos sobre el color. Para ello se ha estructurado el contenido en tres núcleos temáticos: color-religión, color-materialidad y color-rito
AB Colours have always been present in history. Their first quality is that they are bearers of aesthetic experiences. Also, they are transmitters of ideas, mentalities or beliefs, and much more as they can turn into social delimiters, gender differentiating or cosmogonical structure makers. The present work delves into the strong historical and symbolical dimension which presents the colour in ancient times, particularly the yellow, as it is the great absent in the colour monographs. To do so, the content of the work was structured in three different thematic clusters: colour-religion, colour-materiality and colour-rite
