AB Presentamos en este trabajo una propuesta didáctica para el estudio de la oratoria latina en un curso de segundo de Bachillerato basada en la lectura de una novela histórica; utilizando La suerte de Venus de Steven Saylor, en la que se recrea el proceso judicial contra Marco Celio, estudiamos las características de este género literario en la Antigua Roma a través del análisis del texto novelado, y ponemos después en práctica los conocimientos adquiridos con una recreación de este juicio.
AB We present in this work a didactical proposal for the study of the latin oratory in a pre-university high-school course based on the reading of a historical novel; by using Steven Saylor's The Venus's throw, in which the process against Marcus Caelius is recreated, we study this genre's main characteristics in Ancient Rome analyzing the novelization of the text, and practicing then all the acquired knowledge in a recreation of this judgment.
