%X During the eighteenth century anatomical ceroplastics was introduced as a new didactic method that included touch as one of the indispensable senses, which together with sight, complemented the knowledge of the discipline. Among the paradigmatic examples we have the pieces of the late eighteenth century that are preserved in the Museum of Anatomy Javier Puerta of UCM, coming from the College of Surgery of Madrid. However, in the current Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona, two anatomical pieces in wax of the mid-nineteenth century are preserved, which were created under similar didactic needs, but through expressive forms that fit other aesthetic models.
