%X This project aims to complete the development of accessible educational materials tailored to the Animal Care Specialty within the Liceo University Training Diploma, which is offered thanks to the UCM-Achalay collaboration and is aimed at young people with intellectual disabilities (ID). The need for this material, as classroom support, for individual student use, and for family support at home, has previously been recognized through the awarding of earlier projects. As a result, a first draft of a Manual for the Care of Domestic Companion Animals is currently available. This manual is intended for an audience that faces various challenges with reading comprehension, and has therefore been designed with accessibility in mind, following easy-to-read guidelines.
