AB La presente tesis doctoral ofrece un estudio exhaustivo sobre las referencias al culto de Dioniso en las Vidas y los Moralia de Plutarco, una de las fuentes más importantes sobre la religión dionisíaca, especialmente de la época imperial. El interés de su obra radica en su gran extensión y en el hecho de tratarse de un testimonio directo sobre algunos de los cultos que se realizaban entre los siglos I y II d.C. Además, su cargo como sacerdote en Delfos le otorgó una posición privilegiada para conocer en profundidad los ritos que allí se practicaban. Los pasajes considerados para este estudio son todos aquellos referentes a cualquier culto, epíteto, mito o atributo relacionado con el dios. El contenido ha sido dividido en diferentes secciones temáticas. En la primera parte, el análisis de todos los epítetos referidos a Dioniso revela que la mayoría de ellos se emplean en un contexto simposíaco o ritual. No obstante, la variedad hallada me ha permitido hacer una subdivisión más precisa de las epiclesis conforme a los siguientes criterios: los referidos a Dioniso como dios del vino, los que reflejan su faceta de dios liberador, los epítetos rituales, los vinculados a su poder fecundador como dios de la vegetación y, por último, los que aluden a su actitud con los mortales...
AB This Phd Thesis shows an exhaustive study of the references to the cult to Dionysus in Plutarch’s Lifes and Moralia, one of the most important sources about the Dionysian religion, especially in the Imperial Era. The interest on his work lies in his large extension as well as itis a direct testimony about some of the cults conducted between the I and the II century A.D. Furthermore, his position as a priest in Delphi, gave him a privileged situation to deeply know the rituals performed there.The passages considered in this study are all those related to any cult, epithet, myth or attribute associated with the god. The content has been divided in different thematic sections. In the first part, the analysis of all the epithets referred to Dionysus reveals that most of the mare used within a symposiac or ritual context. Nevertheless, the variety found has allowed me to make a more precise subdivision of the epicleses according to the following criteria: those referred to Dionysus as god of the wine, those reflecting his role as a liberator, the ritual epithets, those associated with his fertilizing power as god of the vegetation and, finally,those that refer to his attitude towards the mortals...
