%X The article analyses the rhetorical strategies used by LGBTQ+ activists and writers from Equatorial Guinea in West Africa to denounce homophobia and persecution in their country. Their texts are full of an obscene hyperreal accumulation of horrors which may appeal to a Western audience, but which is not necessarily well accepted in their country and is sometimes even considered counterproductive and dangerous.
%X El artículo analiza las estrategias retóricas utilizadas por activistas y escritores LGBTQ+ de Guinea Ecuatorial en África occidental para denunciar la homofobia y la persecución en su país. Sus textos están llenos de una obscena acumulación hiperrealista de horrores que pueden llamar la atención de una audiencia occidental, pero que no es necesariamente bien aceptada en su país y a veces incluso se considera contraproducentes y peligrosas.
