Most names denote physical traits, especially of the eyes, hair, senses, or body, though some indicate personality or remain semantically obscure. The study compares Middle Assyrian attestations with Old and Neo-Assyrian evidence, noting patterns of continuity, discontinuity, and parallels in the Middle Babylonian tradition. %~
