AB Se muestran en este trabajo los elementos históricos que conforman la crucifixión, desde sus orígenes en el área mediterránea hasta su recepción plena en tiempos romanos, estudiando su aplicación provincial, su extensión a los esclavos y finalmente a los propios ciudadanos romanos. Se detallan a partir de las fuentes literarias muchos datos que hacen referencia a la forma de ejecución y los lugares donde esta tenía lugar.
AB The current piece of work shows all historical features which make part of crucifixion, from the dawn of its existence in the Mediterranean area up until its splendour at Roman times, studying its likely provincial appliance, with full coverage of slavery and eventually of Roman citizens themselves. Literary sources show a few details concerning citizen forms of execution and places.
