T1 Recuperación de un retablo barroco del siglo XVIII: propuesta de intervención y puesta en valor

AB El presente trabajo aborda el estudio del conjunto de retablos de la iglesia de San Pedro de Casla (Segovia). En concreto se detallará la propuesta de intervención del retablo de la Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro para asegurar su conservación y puesta en valor. Para ello se han consultado diferentes fuentes documentales que han aportado información sobre la historia del bien.Este estudio plantea distintas alternativas y tratamientos para acometer la restauración de un retablo Barroco del siglo XVIII policromado y dorado sobre soporte lígneo, detallando los productos recomendados y su modo de empleo. Se centra en la conservación preventiva y la puesta en valor para asegurar su salvaguarda. Acoge, además, un estudio de su estado de conservación, los agentes de deterioro a los que se ve expuesto y un análisis su entorno físico y ambiental. A su vez, se ampara en la legislación y criterios vigentes que rigen el oficio del conservador-restaurador.
AB The current paper develops the study of the series of altarpieces located in the San Pedro’s Church of Casla (Segovia, Spain). An intervention proposal will be detailed for the Altarpiece of the Pepetuo Socorro Virgin, whose purpose is to ensure the conservation and enhancement of this piece of art.To this effect, several documentary sources have been consulted and have provided relevant information about the history of this culturalasset.This report puts forward different alternatives and treatments to proceed with the restauration of a 18th century Baroque altarpiece whose support material is polychromed and gilded wood, specifying all the recommended products and their handling instructions. It is focused on the preventive conservation and the enhancement to ensureits safeguarding. Furthermore, it includes a study of the altarpiece state of preservation, its main deteriorating agents and its physical and environmental conditions. The study has been developed in line with the legislation and existing criteria that regulate the conservator-restorers’ job.
