T1 El altorrelieve del monte Sypilos

AB Akpinar es un gran relieve rocoso esculpido en el Monte Sypilos, sobre el curso del río Gediz, al Este de Anatolia. Probablemente se encuentra inacabado y tiene dos inscripciones, una en la parte superior derecha y otra en la zona inferior izquierda. En este artículo pretendo ofrecer una nuevainterpretación de esta imagen que, enn mi opinión, está íntimamente relacionada con el manantial cercano y representa con toda probabilidad una figura femenina sedente. Seguramente es producto de un gobierno local influido por la experiencia estética y cultural hitita.
AB Akpinar is a great rock-relief which is inscribed in the ancient Mount Sypilos above of the river Gediz, at East Anatoly. It seems to be unfinished, has two inscriptions, one at the right top, second at the left bottom and is damaged. In this paper I would like to offer a new view of this rock-relief, which in my opinion is related to the near spring and because this important aspect of its situation, not casual, could representa standing feminine figure. It should be product of a local government influenced by Hittite culture and aesthetic.
