%X From the ancient Egyptians to the present day, cancer is one of the most terrible enemies that has been part of the human history. As a response to the presence, development, relief and reoccurrence of a neoplasia, both cancerous and non-cancerous cells release a wide variety of molecular entities, including proteins, genes and epigenetic alterations, known as biomarkers, which are detectable in many biological specimens and bodily fluids.
