%X La Mediación Social concurrió hace treinta años a los debates sobre los cambios previsibles de la naturaleza, la sociedad y la cultura que transformarían a las sociedades industrializadas en postindustriales. Son los movimientos históricos que han alumbrando el presente y que seguirán orientando el futuro de muchas generaciones. Por eso esta obra esclarece los orígenes de la globalización, sus opciones y constricciones. Manuel Martín Serrano, autor del libro, relata en este prólogo cómo se llegó a saber que llegaba nuestro tiempo. El tiempo en el que la acción que transforma el mundo, es inseparable de la información que lo reproduce. Que es cuando las mediaciones sociales se han convertido en prácticas generalizadas y predominantes y La Mediación Social en el paradigma que las explica y hace operativas. El propio autor describe aquí por primera vez, las relaciones que existen entre la naturaleza de esos cambios sociohistóricos y la creación de esta obra teórica y metodológica.[ABSTRATC]Thirty years ago, La Mediación Social concurred with the debates about the predictable changes of Nature, Society and Culture that would transform the industrialized societies in post-industrial ones. They are the historical movements which brought light to the present and that will continue orientating the future of many generations. That is why this work clarifies the origins of globalization, its options and constrictions. Manuel Martín Serrano, author of the book, explains in this prologue how he was able to know that our time was coming. It is a time when the action that transforms the world is inseparable of the information that reproduces it. This is when THE SOCIAL MEDIATIONS have turned into widespread and predominant practices, and The Social Mediation into the paradigm that explains and makes them operative. The author describes here for the first time, the relations that exist among the nature of these socio-historical changes and the creation of this theoretical and methodological work.
