%X Este trabajo de fin de máster pretende poner de relevancia el papel indiscutible de las mujeres en el ámbito de la medicina y la salud, en concreto, a través de la figura de la trementinaire. El oficio de trementinaire, desarrollado exclusivamente por mujeres en el valle de La Vansa i Tuixent (pre Pirineo catalán) durante la segunda mitad del S.XIX hasta finales del S.XX, nació de la necesidad económica de la época, y creció alimentado por aquellas mujeres que hicieron de sus conocimientos su herramienta de trabajo. Las trementinaires cubrieron la demanda de remedios y curas en la prevención y tratamiento de enfermedades humanas y animales en el ámbito rural y urbano, desplazándose en duras condiciones a través de rutas de alta montaña que abarcaban varias semanas, abandonando la familia y el hogar.La hipótesis que plantea este trabajo es cómo estas mujeres supusieron una transgresión del rol femenino, a través de las decisiones que tomaron, tornando su realidad personal en realidad política, y creando, a partir de una necesidad real, un nuevo orden simbólico, transformador del discurso y de las acciones.
%X The aim of this master's thesis is to emphasise the undeniable role of women in the field of medicine and health, in particular through the figure of the trementinaire. The trementinaire trade, developed exclusively by women in the valley of La Vansa i Tuixent (pre-Catalonian Pyrenees) during the second half of the nineteenth century to the late twentieth century, came from the needs of the time. It grew by those women who made from their knowledge their job. The trementinaires covered the demand for remedies and cures in the prevention and treatment of human and animal diseases in rural and urban areas, moving in harsh conditions through the mountains in several weeks tours, leaving behind their family and home. The hypothesis raised by this work is to evidence how these women broke the female's role, through the decisions they took, turning their personal reality in political reality, and creating, from a real need, a new symbolic order, which transformed the speech and actions.
