AB This article aims to review the work of the German anatomist Joseph Disse (1852-1912), specifically with regard to the contents of his ,, Ueber die Lymphbahnen der  Laugethierleber". In this he described a thin space, until that moment not referred, located between the hepatocyte and the sinusoidal membrane (sinusoids).
