The sectionshows a thick succession of clay limestones with a regular sedimentationand belongs to a sedimenrary basin whose palaeogeographyis already well established.The variety and abundance of cephalopods provide goodcorrelation between the submediterranean and the subborealprovinces.This section has already been considered during the discussionon the definition of the boundary stage (Orsay meeting,1970). %~
