RT Book, Section T1 Progress in global optimization and shape design A1 Isebe, Damien A1 Ivorra, Benjamín Pierre Paul A1 Azerad, Pascal A1 Mohammadi, Bijan A1 Bouchette, Frederic A2 Bock, Hans Georg A2 Kostina, Ekaterina A2 Hoang, Xuan Phu A2 Rannacher, Rolf AB In this paper, we reformulate global optimization problems in terms of boundary value problems. This allows us to introduce a new class of optimization algorithms. Indeed, many optimization methods can be seen as discretizations of initial value problems for differential equations or systems of differential equations. We apply a particular algorithm included in the former class to the shape optimization of coastal structures PB Springer SN 978-3-540-79408-0 YR 2008 FD 2008 LK https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14352/53414 UL https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14352/53414 LA eng DS Docta Complutense RD 24 abr 2025
