%X El presente estudio se propone como lectura de la obra Dialéctica de la Ilustración (1944), de Th. W. Adorno y Max Horkheimer. En él se aborda con especial preeminencia el primer capítulo, o, su ‘concepto’, con el fin de destacar el potencial del dolor y del recuerdo de una Naturaleza viva como consideraciones propias de la parte captiva de la Ilustración: La contraparte necesaria de una dialéctica que permitiría, en última instancia, atesorar la voluntad del proyecto ilustrado y, por lo tanto, la esperanza de una praxis transformadora.
%X In this paper, I propose a reflection on the motif of mana in the framework of the proto-history of Th. W. Adorno and Max Horkheimer’s Dialectic  of  Enlightenment (1944). The Melanesian concept will allow us readers to seek the philosophical potential of pain, and the memory of a living Nature, as elements proper to the captive part of enlightenment: The necessary counterpart of a dialectic that would ultimately lead us to treasure the will of the enlightened project and, therefore, the hope for a transformative praxis.
