RT Journal Article T1 The quality of participatory processes in the urban redevelopment policy of Madrid City Council A1 Sánchez Medero, Gema A1 Pastor Albaladejo, Gema María AB The local sphere is the participatory space par excellence. However, there are few academic studies on citizen participation in urban polities, and even less on the quality of participatory mechanisms. This article analyses two participatory processes of urban reorganisation led by the City of Madrid, based on the development of an analytical framework designed to evaluate its quality, with the objective of knowing which initiative enjoys the higher quality, and of proposing a series of recommendations that would contribute to ensuring the successful development of these processes.
