%X La importancia de la televisión como agente conformador de la cultura popular contemporánea es indiscutible. Este artículo pretende estudiar cómo los medios audiovisuales se acercan a la historia a través de varios elementos de análisis como las tradiciones heredadas del cine, las adaptaciones del relato para adecuarse a las lógicas discursivas dominantes o la categoría historiográfica de televisión popular, que nos informa de los usos públicosy privados de la pequeña pantalla.[ABSTRACT]The importance of the television as an agent in shaping popular culture is indisputable. This article intends to study how the audio-visual mass media understand history through several elements: the traditions of the cinema, the adaptation of fictional narratives to the dominant discourses or the historiographic category of the “popular television”, which inform us about the public and private uses of the small screen.
