AB RESUMEN: En los libros de recuerdos y memorias de Pío Baroja, la bohemia está muy presente y lo está asimismo en el conjunto de su obra. La visión fragmentaria, de técnica impresionista, a la hora de describir y retratar a sus personajes, es una constante a lo largo de su producción literaria. Al hablar de los bohemios que conoció y trató entre finales del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX, con frecuencia Baroja inserta galerías de artistas y literatos en cuya descripción emplea la misma técnica compositiva, parcial y subjetiva, reduciendo la visión de la bohemia a una realidad anecdótica y con frecuencia histriónica o incluso degradante, pero atractiva en el fondo.
AB ABSTRACT: In Pío Baroja’s books of memories, bohemianism is very present and it is also present in the rest of his works. The fragmentary vision, of impressionist technique, when describing and portraying his characters, is a constant throughout his literary production. When talking about the bohemians that he met and treated between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, Baroja frequently inserts galleries of artists and writers in whose description he uses the same compositional, partial and subjective technique, reducing the vision of bohemianism to a reality anecdotal and often histrionic or even degrading, but ultimately attractive.
