AB El hallazgo en 1983 de una escultura de bulto redondo representado la cabeza de un toro, descubierta en un olivar en el municipio de Alcubillas (Ciudad Real), propició una primera intervención arqueológica en el año 2017. La excavación permitió documentar un túmulo que amortizaba una tumba turriforme de planta cuadrada cubierta por material pétreo, a la par que escultórico y cerámico, procedentes ambos del primer enterramiento. Entre los fragmentos de relieves elaborados con arenisca de animales y de personajes de la élite oretana de los siglos VI-V a. C, se hallaron diversos fragmentos de una cratera!griega de campana de figuras rojas que integraría parte del ajuar de la tumba principesca.
AB The discovery in 1983 of a round sculpture representing the head of a bull, discovered in an olive!grove in the municipality of Alcubillas (Ciudad Real), led to a first archaeological intervention in 2017. The excavation made it possible to find a tumulus that amortized a turriform square-shaped tomb that was covered by stone material, as well as sculptural and ceramic pieces, both from the first burial. Among the sculptural reliefs fragments made with sandstone, representing animals and characters of the Oretan elite of the 6th-5th centuries BC, various fragments of a!greek red-figure bell krater were found, that would make up part of the trousseau of the princely tomb.
