%X El trabajo ha perdido su papel central como mecanismo de cohesión social y establecimiento de solidaridades colectivas. Ello se manifiesta en su sustitución, en buena medida, como elemento vertebrador entre individuo y sociedad. En la práctica trae aparejado el deterioro del derecho del trabajo, llegando a influir decididamente en la propia conformación de las relaciones laborales, así como un desequilibrio cada vez más profundo entre los dos sujetos colectivos intrínsecos del mercado laboral, empleador y empleado. Muestra de ello es la aparición, cada vez con más intensidad, de un mayor abanico de modelos contractuales y del debilitamiento de las tradicionales fronteras entre categorías, tales como autoempleo y trabajo asalariado, trabajo formal e informal, empleo y desempleo.
%X Work has lost its central role as a mechanism of social cohesion and establishment of collective solidarities. This is demonstrated by its replacement to a large extent as an element unifying the individual and society. In practice, this goes hand in hand with the undermining of labour rights, to the point of decisively influencing the actual configuration of labour relations, and an ever-increasing imbalance between the two collective subjects intrinsic to the labour market: employer and employee. This manifests itself in the appearance of an ever wider range of contractual models and the weakening of traditional boundaries between categories, such as self-employment and waged employment, formal and informal work, employment and unemployment.
