T1 La figura del héroe en la novela Soldados de Salamina de Javier Cercas

AB Este trabajo tiene como finalidad analizar la figura del héroe en la novela Soldados de Salamina de Javier Cercas. Se pretende explorar cómo el autor hace una reinterpretación del arquetipo habitual del héroe en esta obra que entremezcla ficción y realidad. Para ello, analiza primeramente la novela, seguido de los roles de sus personajes, un análisis del propio héroe y una comparación con algunas novelas que ubican sus tramas en contextos similares y que están escritas en fechas posteriores a la Transición española. Además, se tienen en cuenta aspectos relacionados con la memoria histórica y la ética de la representación, que son fundamentales en la narrativa de Cercas. De esta forma, se intenta poner en valor la singularidad de la obra y su capacidad para destacar una figura heroica compleja partiendo de la investigación periodística y culminando con un cambio radical que supone el abandono del relato real para aproximarse a uno ficticio que nace de la literatura.

NO This paper aims to analyze the figure of the hero in Javier Cercas’ novel Soldados de Salamina (Soldiers of Salamins). It explores how the author reinterprets the conventional hero archetype in this work, wich blends fiction and reality. To do so, the analyses begins with an examination of the novel itself, followed by the roles of its characters, a study of the hero figure, and a comparison with other novels set in similar contexts and written after the Spanish Transition. Additionally, it considers aspects related to historical memory and the ethics of representation, wich are central to Cercas’ narrative. In this way, the paper seeks to highlight the uniqueness of the work and its ability to portray a complex heroic figure that emerges from journalistic investigation but culminates in a radical shift, abandoning factual accounts in favor of a fictional narrative born from literature.
