AB Maquiavelo alertó al gobernante en torno a la necesidad de evitar, por todos los medios posibles, el odio por parte de los gobernados. De ese modo, el implícito consentimiento de los gobernados se convertiría en la más eficaz de sus defensas. Extrajo está conclusión a través de ejemplos que daban cuenta de la necesidad de que el pueblo interviniese en los asuntos públicos. Siendo así, la falta de sistematización en su análisis nos exige que profundicemos en torno a los términos que usó para definir cada estrato social, considerando ésta como la única forma de determinar con precisión quiénes formaban parte de ese popolo al que tan insistentemente apeló.
AB Machiavelli alerted the ruler about the necessity of avoiding by any means the hate of the people. Because of this, the implicit consent of the governed would become his most effective defense. He concluded that through examples that showed the necessity of the people’s intervention in public affairs. Accepting this, the lack of systematization in his analysis force us to deepen about the terms he used to define every social stratum. This is the only way to determinate with precision who could be consider as a part of this popolo that he insistently appeal.
