RT Book, Section T1 Wonder Woman. The Teaching and Education Value of the Ancient Female Warrior Image in Cinema A1 Sánchez Sanz, Arturo AB The Amazon myths have survived in the collective Western imagination for more than two millennia as a legendary stereotype. Something beyond the rational and socially acceptable, but which, perhaps for that reason, generated a special attraction. In the 20th century, Western culture has been shaken by enormous social changes that have not been carried out in a short period of time. The image of women in Western society has been changing little by little, relying on all those cultural icons that could help to offer a new vision of their place. All kinds of influences from art, cinema and TV, comics and videogames have been at work in this process since the 20th century.
