AB En el presente trabajo se trata de dar una respuesta a la pregunta de cuáles pueden ser los determinantes del reciente surgimiento del fenómeno independentista en Cataluña, y para ello se propone un modelo de consumo teórico con dos agentes heterogéneos que pueden negociar la forma del Estado. Este marco teórico es, posteriormente, puesto a prueba bajo una batería de análisis empíricos. Los resultados apuntan a que existen una multiplicidad de factores que son determinantes del fenómeno del independentismo, sin embargo, la mayoría de los análisis verifican que los tres factores teóricos identificados (expectativas económicas, nacionalismo y la situación de los recursos fiscales) son claves, sin embargo, no todos muestran tener la misma importancia ni ésta parece ser homogénea entre los distintos grupos poblaciones considerados.
AB The present paper aims to answer to the question of what may be the determinants of the recent emergence of separatist phenomenon in Catalonia, offering a model of theoretical consumption with two heterogeneous agents that can negotiate about the State government form. This theoretical framework is then tested under empirical analysis. The results suggest that there are multiple factors that determine the phenomenon of independentism, however, most of the analysis verified that the three theoretical factors identified (economic expectations, nationalism and the situation of fiscal resources) are key, but not all have the same importance and this seems to be heterogeneous across different group of populations.
