AB El aire de un crimen es una de las novelas de mayor éxito entre las que escribió Juan Benet. Supuso un cambio en su escritura, dejando atrás su característica complejidad en unas formas mucho más sencillas. Aparentemente es una novela policiaca pero las expectativas  características de este género se verán frustradas en el desarrollo del texto.
AB El aire de un crimen is one of the most successful novels written by Juan Benet. It supposed a change from his complicated writing to a simpler one. It appears to be a  detective novel but the expectations of this genre would be frustrated in the development of the text.
