AB Actualmente la mayoría de facultativos desarrolla su actividad incluyendo algún turno nocturno. Ello demanda estar alerta en horas en que el organismo realiza funciones que requieren un estado de sueño profundo, lo cual puede ser perjudicial. Nuestra hipótesis planteó que  ciertas variables de los facultativos que realizan turnos de 24 horas, se comportan como  factores de riesgo para provocar alteración de la calidad del sueño y de presencia de síntomas orgánicos y neuropsicológicos. OBJETIVOS: Describir las características epidemiológicas; establecer  niveles de calidad del sueño y presencia y tipos de síntomas; identificar variables significativamente asociadas; evaluar un conjunto de variables como posibles factores de riesgo; determinar la influencia de posibles variables predictivas y  describir la mejor tipología de los facultativos sobre la calidad del sueño y de la presencia de síntomas..
AB Currently most doctors develop their activity including a night shift. This requires being alert at times when the body performs functions that require a state of deep sleep, which can be harmful. Our hypothesis stated that certain variables of doctors who take 24-hour shifts, behave as risk factors to cause alteration of the quality of sleep and the presence of organic and neuropsychological symptoms.
