RT Book, Section T1 Textual Evidences of the Executive Legal Effects of a ‘καθάπερ ἐκ δίκης’ Formula in Early Roman Egypt A1 Rodríguez Martín, José-Domingo AB This paper addresses the question how the developing interest of society and technical evolution shape the formulation of novel research disciplines and how scientific results face challenges in gaining a widespread effect on society. Novel research interests often result in emerging new fields, which establish a radically different mindset on a spe- cific phenomenon in question. This is illustrated by drawing on the case of the newly emerging multidisciplinary field of Cultural Linguistics. The paper argues that Cultur- al Linguistics evolved due to a complexity of contextual factors of our age, including the emergence of digital environment, a tendency towards multidisciplinarity, an in- creasing interest in culturally relevant issues, and a demand to make the link between academic research and everyday life more explicit.
