AB El objeto de este trabajo es el análisis de la Directiva 2011/61/EU como técnica utilizada para la armonización de la gestión de los fondos de inversión alternativa en Europa. Se realiza un recorrido por los aspectos esenciales de la Directiva, deteniéndonos en su ámbito de aplicación, las condiciones de otorgamiento de la autorización, los requisitos operativos y de organización o el pasaporte del GFIA. Finalmente, se detallan las medidas a tomar para la transposición de la Directiva recogidas en el Dictamen ESMA/2011/379. ABSTRACT: The aim of this working paper is to analyze the Directive as the chosen technic to harmonize the management of alternative investment funds in Europe. A tour is taken through the main aspects of the Directive, stopping at its scope, the conditions for granting the authorization, operative and organizational requirements or the GFIA’s passport. Finally, it is outlined the steps to take into account for the transposition of the Directive, which appear on ESMA 2011/379 Final Report
