AB Se analizan dos recientes sentencia del Tribunal de Justicia relativas a la interpretación del Reglamento Roma I y del Reglamento Bruselas Ibis a contratos de consumo en situaciones vinculadas con el Reino Unido. Entre las cuestiones tratadas en relación con el Reglamento Roma I, se encuentran la concreción de las situaciones que implican un conflicto de leyes como presupuesto de la aplicación del Reglamento Roma I, el carácter exhaustivo de sus reglas sobre protección de los consumidores y la posibilidad de elección de la ley aplicable mediante condiciones generales de la contratación. Con respecto al Reglamento Bruselas I bis, recibe especial atención el alcance subjetivo de sus reglas de competencia en materia de contratos de consumo.

NO Two recent judgments of the Court of Justice concerning the interpretation of the Rome I Regulation and the Brussels Ia Regulation to consumer contracts in situations related to the United Kingdom are discussed. Among the issues dealt with in relation to the Rome I Regulation are the specification of the situations involving a conflict of laws as a prerequisite for the application of the Rome I Regulation, the exhaustive nature of its rules on consumer protection and the possibility of choosing the applicable law by means of general terms and conditions of the contract. As regards the Brussels I bis Regulation, the subjective scope of its jurisdiction rules concerning consumer contracts receives special attention.
