AB La recepción del pensamiento de Hannah Arendt ha estado presidida, fundamentalmente, por la influencia de las obras que ella publicó desde 1951 en adelante, esto es, desde Los orígenes del totalitarismo hasta La vida del espíritu. En consonancia, los temas políticos y filosóficos cruciales en dicha etapa de su obra —el problema del totalitarismo, la revitalización de lo político en clave republicana y la reflexión sobre una ética de la responsabilidad personal— han copado el interés de gran parte de los intérpretes de Arendt desde casi el mismo momento de su muerte y hasta nuestros días. Desde este punto de vista, ha sido habitual interpretar Los orígenes del totalitarismo, obra publicada por Arendt en 1951, como el punto de partida de su pensamiento posterior. Al mismo tiempo, los escritos y publicaciones previos a dicha obra o bien eran simplemente ignorados, o bien eran interpretados como unas primeras aproximaciones o esbozos a los problemas que iban a ser tratados con mayor sistematicidad en su obra de madurez...
AB The reception of Hannah Arendt's thought has been fundamentally influenced by the works she published from 1951 onwards, that is, from The Origins of Totalitarianism to The Life of the Mind. Accordingly, the crucial political and philosophical themes in this stage of her work —the problem of totalitarianism, the revitalization of politics in a republican key and the reflection on an ethics of personal responsibility— have captured the interest of a large part of Arendt's interpreters from almost the moment of her death until today. From this point of view, it has been common to interpret The Origins of Totalitarianism, a work published by Arendt in 1951, as the starting point of her later thought. At the same time, the writings and publications prior to this work were either simply ignored or were interpreted as first approximations or outlines of the problems that were to be treated more systematically in her mature work...
