%X RESUMEN: La cantidad de compuestos exocéntricos que se identifican en español depende directamente de la noción de núcleo que se adopte. En este trabajo revisamos el concepto de ‘núcleo morfológico’ y de ‘compuesto exocéntrico’. Pretendemos reducir la clase de los compuestos exocéntricos del español al considerar que la posición de núcleo puede estar ocupada por constituyentes de distinta naturaleza. Para ello, partimos de la distinción entre núcleo interno y núcleo externo, correspondientes a la sintaxis interna y a la sintaxis externa del compuesto.
%X ABSTRACT: The amount of Spanish exocentric compounds depends on the notion of head that is adopted. This paper reviews the notion of ‘morphological head’ and ‘exocentric compound’. The objective is to reduce the class of Spanish exocentric compounds considering that the head position can be occupied by different classes of constituents. To make it, we start with the distinction of internal and external head corresponding to internal and external syntax of compounds.
