AB In this chapter, it is analyzed and argued that the photographic narration of episodes of human life is an adequate means of representation and communication of adverse and painful experiences of people. Regarding photo-elicitation, the narration incorporates the temporal dimension in the representation of events and prolonged human experiences, such as the evolution of a serious illness. In this sense, the environments where the studies presented here have been carried out are identified by the pain that is experienced; they have mainly been carried out in hospitals. It is concluded that the photographic narration becomes a revealing procedure where traumatic experiences can be ordered and structured. This makes it possible to evoke the trauma, give it meaning and integrate it into the life of the sufferer in order to resolve it
