AB La creación del Gabinete de Dibujos de la Facultad de Bellas Artes (1997) es el resultado de un trabajo llevado a cabo por profesores del Departamento de Dibujo I interesados en coleccionar y conservar dibujos realizados por alumnos a lo largo de la historia (1966-2014), incorporando, además, un interesante número de dibujos procedentes de la Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, realizados por artistas de la época en su etapa de formación, que constituyen un valioso testimonio de la instrucción artística del siglo XIX y principios del XX. En una primera etapa (1994-2001) se recuperaron y registraron más de mil dibujos originales dispersos que correspondían a los inicios formativos. Después se hizo necesario acometer un plan de restauración y conservación inicial de este patrimonio. A continuación, se aumentó la colección con los trabajos de los estudiantes destacados más recientes (2001-2014). Finalmente comenzó una etapa de divulgación de la documentación de este patrimonio cultural artístico a través de publicaciones y exposiciones. Esta colección, además de mostrar un fondo documental de dibujos originales que sirven como material de primera mano para realizar estudios, proporciona datos necesarios para investigar sobre los métodos pedagógicos utilizados para la enseñanza-aprendizaje del dibujo en la universidad y los procesos creativos que posibilitan el realizar estudios teóricos sobre el conocimiento y la práctica del dibujo como elemento esencial en la formación artística.

NO The creation of the Department of Drawings at the Faculty of Fine Arts (1997. It is the result of the work conducted by professors of the Department of Drawing-I, their interest is in collecting and reserving the drawings done by students (from 1966 till 2014), also incorporates a number of interesting drawings from the Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, created by artists while they were still students, a valuable testimony of artistic education of the end of the 20th century till our days. In a first stage (1994-2001) over a thousand original scattered drawings from the Faculty were retrieved and recorded (corresponding to the formative years. It was necessary to undertake a restoration plan and initial preservation of this heritage. The collection grew with the drawings of recent outstanding students (2001-2014). Finally, a stage of disclosure of the documentation of this artistic heritage began through publications and exhibitions. This collection, in addition to showing a documentary collection of original drawings that serve as primary source material for studies of this activity, provides the data needed to investigate the pedagogical methods used for teaching and learning in college, and drawing processes of creative art students that enable the conduct theoretical studies on the knowledge and practice of drawing as an essential element in art education.
