AB En este artículo se contrastará la teoría fílmica del filósofo estadounidense Stanley Cavell con aportaciones del feminismo. Para este autor existen dos tipos de películas de mujeres (las comedias de enredo matrimonial y los melodramas de la mujer desconocida) que muestran dos modos de maduración de la mujer, en el sentido del perfeccionismo moral de Emerson. Como contraste se presentarán críticas de las teóricas feministas del cine, Laura Mulvey y Tania Modleski, así como consideraciones sobre la diferencia sexual realizadas por Judith Butler y Pierre Bourdieu
AB In this paper Stanley Cavell’s film theory will be contrasted with some feminist theories. According to this author, there are two kinds of women films (the screwball comedy and the melodrama of the unknown woman), which show two different ways of feminine growing up, in the sense of the Emerson’s moral perfectionism. In contrast, the feminist film theories of Laura Mulvey and Tania Modleski will be referred. Also, we will examine the theories about the sexual difference established by Judith Butler and Pierre Bourdieu.
