T1 El paradigma de los archivos personales: estudio histórico-archivístico del fondo de Toribio del Campillo (1823 - 1900)

AB Toribio del Campillo y Casamor además de archivero-bibliotecario, bibliógrafo, bibliófilo, investigador, de asumir la formación en Bibliografía e Historia Literaria de los archiveros y bibliotecarios formados en la Escuela Superior de Diplomática durante el último cuarto del siglo XIX, dejó un rico archivo personal que constituye el objeto de esta tesis doctoral. Los objetivos propuestos en la investigación son varios: conocer en profundidad la biografía del personaje, investigar la historia archivística del fondo, su origen y las vicisitudes que ha sufrido a lo largo del tiempo, organizar el fondo de manera que quede patente toda la actividad personal, intelectual y profesional de Campillo, realizar una descripción multinivel siguiendo la norma internacional de descripción archivística ISAD(G), hacer una edición crítica de la correspondencia, diseñar una herramienta que auxilie en las tareas de organización y descripción de los fondos y contribuya a la mejor difusión de los mismos, posibilitando incluso su acceso a través de la web. Las peculiaridades del archivo personal objeto de estudio y el cumplimiento de los objetivos propuestos implican la aplicación de una metodología multidisciplinar, esencialmente se ha aplicado el método archivístico, pero también el propio del análisis histórico. La investigación que se presenta ha permitido ofrecer una biografía de Toribio del Campillo, personaje sobre el cual los datos de que hasta ahora se disponían eran extremadamente escasos, incluso erróneos o inexactos. Se ha reconstruido su formación, cuestión compleja no sólo debido a los diversos estudios cursados, fue Doctor en Literatura y Licenciado en Jurisprudencia, además de haber realizado estudios en la Escuela Superior de Diplomática, sino también porque en el periodo en que estos se desarrollaron tuvieron lugar cambios políticos constantes que implicaron, en la mayor parte de las ocasiones, vaivenes en la legislación y la política educativa; de ahí la dificultad para desentrañar la maraña de disposiciones legislativas que le afectaron...
AB Toribio del Campillo y Casamor besides being archivist-librarian, bibliographer, bibliophile, researcher, of taking on training in Bibliography and Literary History of archivists and librarians that studied at the Escuela Superior de Diplomática during the last quarter of the nineteenth century, left a rich personal archive which is the subject of this doctoral thesis. The objectives proposed in the research are many: learn more about the biography of this figure, research the archival history of his fond, its origin and the vicissitudes it has undergone over time, organize the archive in a way to emphasize all his personal, intellectual and professional activity, make a multilevel description following the international standard archival description ISAD(G), make a critical edition of his correspondence, design a tool that help us in the tasks of organization and description of fonds and contribute to a better dissemination of the same, even allowing access through the web. The peculiarities of the personal archive under study and the fulfillment of the proposed objectives involve the application of a multidisciplinary approach, essentially we applied the archival methodology, but also the one from the historical research.The research presented has made possible to offer a biography of Toribio del Campillo, a figure about which the information until now was extremely scarce, and in some respects, even wrong or inaccurate. We has reconstruct his education, a complex issue not only because of his variety, Campillo was Doctor in Literature and Law Graduate and he studied also at the Escuela Superior de Diplomática, but also because the period in which they were developed had constant political changes that involved fluctuations in education policy and legislation; hence the difficulty to unravel the thicket of regulations that affected him....
