%X El presente artículo tiene por objeto presentar el fondo documental de la antigua Escuela de Veterinaria de Madrid, la primera de España y durante mucho tiempo la única capacitada para otorgar todos los grados académicos en esta profesión. Los documentos, producidos por la actividad administrativa y académica de la Escuela a lo largo de su historia, fueron a parar a la Facultad de Veterinaria de la Universidad Complutense, en unas condiciones de conservación, de organización y de difusión que dificultaban grandemente su uso por los investigadores. Recientemente, esta documentación ha pasado al Archivo General de la Universidad Complutense donde, ya correctamente conservados, organizados y descritos, se encuentran en condiciones de ser conocidos y utilizados por todos. [ABSTRACT]The purpose of this work is to present the documents of the Escuela de Veterinaria in Madrid, the first school that taught Veterinary Medicine in Spain and the only one that, during a long period of time, was authorised to confer academic degrees in this Science. The documents generated by the academic and administrative activity of the School along its history ended up in the Facultad de Veterinaria in the Universidad Complutense, in organization and preservation conditions that made hard to deal with them. Recently, these fonds have been arranged and described by members of the staff of the Archivo General, and transferred to its premises where they can be consulted from now on by scholars.
