%X Se hace una breve descripción panorámica de los hechos fundamentales por los que atraviesa la historia de España y Portugal. Se explican los rasgos generales de la producción literaria española y portuguesa y se manifiesta la insuficiente gestión gubernamental para difundir de manera óptima la literatura portuguesa, incluyendo la de los países de lengua portuguesa. Se analizan los intercambios comerciales entre España y Portugal que han pasado de regímenes proteccionistas anteriores a un sistema aperturista y una integración mutua de buen entendimiento. Se apunta un futuro optimista en las relaciones hispano-lusas en los más diversos ámbitos culturales.
%X A brief overview is presented on basic facts of the history of Spain and Portugal. The author then explains the general features of Spanish and Portuguese literary production, noting the poor governmental management to raise the desirable awareness of Portuguese literature, including that of Portuguese-speaking countries. We analyze the trade between Spain and Portugal: both evolved from protectionist regimes into a liberalizing system and a sort of integration based on mutual understanding. It suggests a hopeful future in the diverse Spanish-Portuguese cultural contexts.
