%X La evolución de la mundialización ha supuesto un recíproco proceso de constitucionalización del derecho internacional público e internacionalización del derechoconstitucional, a medida que se desarrollaba el ejercicio de la gobernanza global.El constitucionalismo global es una de las perspectivas que mayor éxito se ha granjeado como instrumento de estudio de este fenómeno, especialmente en las literaturas anglosajona y germana. A pesar de ello, continúa sin contar con una definiciónconsensuada y sin que se haya establecido con exactitud su ámbito. Este artículotiene como objetivo analizar este neologismo y sus múltiples significados, recogiendolas propuestas que se han identificado como más relevantes. Tras su diferenciacióncon respecto al concepto próximo de derecho constitucional internacional, se utilizauna lógica binaria para ordenar los discursos que afirman o niegan la posibilidad yconveniencia de trasladar a un contexto global y de pluralismo jurídico los tópicostradicionales del constitucionalismo
%X The evolution of globalisation caused a reciprocal process of constitutionalisation of the International public law and internationalisation of the Constitutionallaw, at the same time that the exercise of global governance was developed. Globalconstitutionalism is one of the most successful approaches so far as a means to studythis phenomenon, especially in the English and German literatures. In spite of thisfact, it still lacks an agreed definition, and it continues without establishing what itsscope is. The objective of this article is to analyse this neologism and its several meanings, collecting the most relevant contributions. After distinguishing it from the closeconcept of international constitutional law, a binary logic is applied to ordering theapproaches that defend or deny the feasibility and convenience of translating the constitutionalism’s traditional topics to a global context of legal pluralism.
