RT Report T1 Markowitz, Sharpe y Miller o el reconocimiento de finanzas como disciplina económica A1 Febrero Devesa, Ramón AB El propósito de este trabajo es introducir al lector en las contribuciones más representativas de Markowitz, Sharpe y Miller, economistas galardonados este año con el premio Nobel. En particular, se resaltará el enfoque dado por Markowitz a la demanda de activos con riesgo y las caracterizaciones del equilibrio del mercado de capitales de Sharpe y Miller (y Modigliani). A lo largo de la exposición el lector podrá comprobar que la moderna teoría financiera, nacida precisamente de las contribuciones de estos autores junto con Tobin y Modigliani, constituye una aplicación del enfoque económico al estudio de los mercados de capitales, y de ahí, su naturaleza adquirida de teoría microeconómica aplicada. El trabajo incorpora, asimismo, un apéndice bibliográfico que esperamos sea de utilidad para quienes deseen profundizar en la obra de los tres profesores premiados.
