%X The knowledge about Ammonites in Spain, between Torrubia (1754) and the beginning of theXIXth, is analyshed together with an evaluation of possibility for the existence of a real palaeontologicalresearch. During the XIXth, the information about Ammonites increased is Spain in relation withdeveloping research on Geology and Stratigraphy as well as with contributions made by foreinggeologists and palaeontologists.
