RT Book, Section T1 Dialect contact and koineization : the case of the Greek colonies of Aegean Thrace T2 Contacto dialectal y koineización: el caso de las colonias griegas de la Tracia egea A1 Guijarro Ruano, Paloma A2 Cassio, Albio Cesare A2 Kaczko, Sara AB ABSTRACT: The objective of this paper is the analysis of cross-dialectal interaction among the Greek colonies established in the northern Aegean Sea, alongside the Greek-Thracian border. Aside from the linguistic exchanges between Greek and non-Greek speakers (referred to as “Thracians” by the Greeks), I will focus on contacts between the various epichoric Greek dialects, largely from a diachronic perspective, including the process of koineization attested in this region.
