AB El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la escritura publicitaria del Beato de la Seo de Urgel. La escritura publicitaria es aquella escri-tura cuyas características permiten despertar el interés del receptor del mensaje. Por ello, es la empleada en las inscripciones medievales, aun-que no es una escritura exclusiva de este tipo de producción escrita, sino que la podemos encontrar también en códices y documentos. Los letreros empleados en el Beato de Urgel resultan simples y sencillos. Un primer acercamiento a la obra nos permite distinguir al menos tres ma-nos en la escritura publicitaria, cada una con sus propias particularida-des. Al comparar éstas con la escritura ordinaria comprobamos que en la mayoría de los casos parece tratarse de la misma persona.
AB The  objective  of  this  work  is  to  analyze  advertising  writing  of  the  Beatus  Commentary  of  Seu  d’  Urgell.  Advertising  writing  is  that  writing whose characteristics allow the stimulation of the interest of the receiver of the message. For this reason, it is broadly used in the medie-val inscriptions, but it is not exclusive to this type of writing, it can also be  found  in  codices  and  documents.  The  signs  employed  in  the  UrgellBeatus  are  simple  and  plain.  A  first  approach  to  the  work  allows  us  to  discriminate  at  least  three  authors  with  their  peculiarities  in  the  Urgell  Beatus. When ordinary writing from the text and advertising writing are compared,  is  possible  to  find  similarities  in  the  majority  of  cases  that  appears to be executed, in both cases, by the same person.
