%X RESUMEN: Este artículo pretende dar cuenta de las razones que justifican llevar a cabo un análisis retórico de la «Nueva filosofía de la naturaleza del hombre» (1587) de Sabuco. Se explicará la necesidad de atender al hecho de que esta obra esté compuesta de siete diálogos y, consecuentemente, a las relaciones entre forma y contenido. Así, tomar en consideración su valor literario puede ayudar a abordar adecuadamente la cuestión de la autoría y a captar la esencia de su mensaje.
%X ABSTRACT: The article aims to rationalize the need for a rhetorical analysis of Sabuco’s “New Philosophy of Human Nature” (1587). The importance of the work’s structure of seven dialogues will be explained, as will the relationships between form and content. Thus, it will be taken into consideration how the work’s literary value may allow us to grasp its message and tackle the issue of authorship properly.
