AB Ciertos conflictos de larga duración parecen irresolubles, son los denominados “conflictos intratables”. De origen y naturaleza diferentes, se han complejizado con el tiempo y a día de hoy su resolución se presenta como extremadamente difícil o imposible. El acuerdo no sólo tiene un coste inaceptable para las partes directamente implicadas sino también para otros actores que los alimentan o que se aprovechan de la situación. Ante ellos las instancias multilaterales tampoco son capaces de articular con éxito vías de arreglo y los procedimientos de resolución convencionales no dan resultados. En el artículo se analizan dos casos relevantes, el conflicto israelo-palestino y el conflicto marroco-saharaui, identificando elementos comunes y cuestionando su supuesta intratabilidad
AB : Certain long-term conflicts seem irresolvable, they are called “intractable conflicts”. Of different origin and nature, they have become more complex over time and today their resolution is presented as extremely difficult or impossible. The agreement not only has an unacceptable cost for the parties directly involved but also for other actors that feed them or take advantage of the situation. Before them, the multilateral instances are not able to articulate successful ways of settlement and the conventional resolution procedures do not give results. The article analyzes two relevant cases, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Moroccan-Saharawi conflict, identifying common elements and questioning their supposed intratability
