%X El presente texto se articula en torno a dos ejesprincipales sobre los que se pretende reflexionar: lafuerza didáctica inherente a la poesía infantil y juvenil, yel importante papel que asume el traductor12 al trasladarun texto poético para niños y jóvenes. A raíz de estosdos ejes y poniéndolos en relación, se presentan tresejemplos de traducción de obras poéticas de la Literaturainfantil y juvenil (LIJ) del alemán al español, prestandoespecial atención al tratamiento de la rima, esencial eneste tipo de textos. De este modo se verá qué prácticasy soluciones de traducción se aproximan más a un juegopoético que consiga hacer la poesía más atractiva parael público infantojuvenil.
%X This paper focuses on two main ideas: the educationalpower of poetry for children and young adults, and theimportant role of translators when translating poetryfor children and young adults. Based on these ideas,the translations of three different poetry books fromGerman into Spanish will be analyzed to see how theydeal with rhymes, an essential part of poetry for childrenand young adults. This analysis makes it possible toidentify translational strategies and solutions that mosteffectively approximate a form of poetic play, therebyenhancing the appeal of poetry for child and adolescentreaders.
