AB Una reciente campaña de investigación geológico-minera, mediante la realización de transversales de reconocimiento, sondeos de superficie e interior y perfiles sísmicos de reflexión, ha permitido profundizar en el conocimiento de la estructura del Carbonífero en el entorno de Mina La Camocha. En esta zona, al sur de Gijón, los materiales carboníferos, cubiertos por una cobertera permotriásica y jurásica, no afloran. Se precisa el estilo de plegamiento, analizándose y datándose las principales familias de fracturación. El estilo tectónico de los materiales carboníferos productivos no aflorantes, se ilustra mediante varios de los nuevos cortes obtenidos.
AB A recent geological and minmg research campaign, has improved the knowledge of the carboniferous structure in the neighborhood of Mina La Camocha in Northern Spain. During the campaign new exploration galleries were driven, and the area was diamond drilled from surface and underground; tour seismic lines were also shot. In this area neighboring Gijón, carboniferous rocks do not outcrop, covered by permian-jurassic strata. The folding structure and tectonic style is detailed, and the fractures are analyzed and dated by relative methods. Sorne of the new profiles shown in this paper, illustrate the tectonic style of the seam-bearing carboniferous series.
