AB La ubicación del lugar en que tuvo lugar la batalla entre Julio César y los hijos de Pompeyo ha sido uno de los temas más controvertidos en la historiografia arqueológica de Andalucía desde el Siglo XVI, continuando vigente actualmente.Analizaremos en el presente trabajo diversas obras en los que aplicó la Arqueología Filológica para la búsqueda y localización del escenario de Munda desde el S. XVI hasta el tercer cuarto del S. XX. En muchas de ellas, tanto en el proceso de investigación como en la interpretación de los resultados, se obviaron los propios resultados arqueológicos, al utilizar las fuentes clásicas para la explicación y contextualización de las excavaciones.
AB The location of the place in which took place the battle between the sons of Pompey and Julio Cesar has been one of the most controversia! issues in the archaeological historiography in Andalusia since the 16th century, continuing existing currently.We will discuss in this paper several works in which applied the philological archaeology search and location of the scene of Munda from the l 6th century until the third quarter of the 20th century. In many of them, both in the research process and the interpretation of results, own archaeological findings, is waived using the classical sources far the explanation and contextualization of the excavations.
