%X Durante 30 años de investigaciones sobre las fiestas tradicionales (formas actuales, evolución histórica y conexiones), busqué interpretar el significado de sus extrañas mezclas de elementos. Los materiales encontrados fueron publicados, unos en textos académicos, y otros en revistas de divulgación, como los que aquí se recopilan, procedentes de “La Aventura de la Historia” (1998-2020). Distribuidos en dos tomos, este I reúne las Fiestas Cíclicas, organizadas según el calendario anual. Espero que ayuden a ilustrar un período crucial en la transformación de la sociedad hispana.
%X During 30 years of research on traditional festivals (current forms, historical evolution and connections), I sought to interpret the meaning of their strange mixtures of elements. The materials found were published, some in academic texts, and others in outreach journals, such as those collected here, from "The Adventure of History" (1998-2020). Distributed in two volumes, this first one brings together the Cyclic Festivals, organized according to the annual calendar. I hope it will help illustrate a crucial period in the transformation of Hispanic society.
